Each wall-hung kelp sculpture is handmade to order in your chosen size, ensuring every piece is individually unique.
The Large Kelp is made from forged and tapered 5/8” round bar, 2 inch hollow steel half-ball, and 1.5”x1/8” twisted flat bar. These pieces measure approximately 40-48 inches in length from the tip of the stem, to the end of the longest frond.
They are sealed with a protective hot wax coating. They intended for indoor display, and may rust if exposed to a lot of humidity or moisture. If you’d like to display yours outdoors, it will eventually begin to form a rust patina (which is elegant in its own way!).
Mounting : Each piece has a washer welded to the backside of the hollow steel half ball, and another welded to the back of one of the kelp fronds. Hang the piece by the washers over a screw or nail head (use anchors in the wall if you do not screw into a stud).
